Narrative Reflection 4

Once again, I am happy that I chose this task because I want to challenge myself and grow in my discipline.  In this interesting task, I differentiate between radical and cognitive constructivism. Cognitive constructivism is the procedure of building the knowledge and involving two levels of construction, structure and meaning.  The radical constructivism adds one more procedure which is the construction of personal meaning.  In this scenario, the learner adds his own experience to the received information to construct a subjective type of reality based on experience rather than knowing the objective reality of the world. Accordingly; KWL inquiry strategy gives the learners the responsibility of deciding what and how to learn according to the radical constructivism approach.

Through meetings and trainings, I used to tell the teachers to ask their students what they want to learn about, so they are aware that their feedback is considered and it will motivate them to be responsible and learn. This practice was not based on any knowledge about radical constructivism.
